This is about being judged for being an addict, and everybody’s assumption about you being wrong. People can be so awful and ignorant.

This is a stab at the a classic summer song with an interpretive twist. I ignored the usual feel good and relational themes for one that hopefully leaves the listener guessing. What it meant to me while writing it will likely be completely different from what it means to you. However, the lyrics are simultaneously not super complex and allow for a celebratory, triumphant feeling to also shine through. Additionally, the rhyme scheme is intentionally a little odd to give the song a more memorable and unique sound.

Free Man is a lyric about someone who takes his rights and freedom so liberally that he feels he can act in any way, and do whatever he wants, and no one can stop him.

This lyric is about feeling so sure about being in love and how it feels when that feeling fades away.
